This Week’s Topic: Friends
“Show me your friends and I’ll show you your future.” How many of us have had a parent or mentor say this to us? Do you think it’s true? Take a minute and think about who your closest friends have been throughout your life and who they are now. Did any of your friends in high school shape who you are today? Do the friends you have now, speak life
into who you want to become?
We were created to live in community. That’s what the Cadre concept is all about. A Cadre is a small group of people, united around one mission, working together to achieve it. Whatever you set out to achieve, whatever your purpose is, it is so important you do life with your friends. A true friend should support you, challenge you, and help keep you moving towards your goals.
We seek out and look for quality friendships in life, and we can all think of someone who has gone above and beyond for us when we needed them. But how much time and effort have you put into being a good friend?
“As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.”
This Week’s Challenge:
This weeks challenge is to do something nice for a friend, just because.
• Take a meal to them
• Offer to watch their kids on date night
• Write them a letter encouraging them
• Plan a fun night out
Think about what things your friends have done for you that made you smile, or improved your week, and be that great friend to someone else!
This Week’s Affirmations:
